Implant Dentistry - Single Tooth Replacement
Replacing a single tooth
Examination – X-rays are taken to make sure implants are a suitable treatment option.
Placing the implant – This is done in one appointment. The implant usually needs 3-6 months to osseointegrate with the jaw. A temporary tooth is placed while waiting for the permanent crown.
Fitting the permanent crown.
The new tooth should function just like a natural tooth.
If you have only one missing tooth, a dental crown on a dental implant is probably the best treatment.
